We hold awards for thatching work.

We belong to: The East Midlands Master Thatchers Association.

The National Society of Master Thatchers.

We grow our own straw so we can have a genuine traceability on materials.

We coppice our own willow beds.

We hold C.S.C.S. Master Thatcher cards required by English Heritage.

We can arrange Listed Consent applications.

We liase with highways when required.

We take safety seriously and are qualified to erect scaffold (required by law).

We hold a waste carriers certificate (required by law).

We have a recycling policy, all old netting is recycled, the majority of old thatch is composted and returned to our fields.

There are unscrupulous people who work on thatched roofs, BEWARE OF door to door knockers offering to do work the same day. Thatchers who do not belong to local and or national master thatcher associations. Thatchers who offer to do work without scaffold. There are even thatchers who claim to have carried out work on their own account which was not thatched by themselves.
