This oak tree was blown down in high winds 4 years ago. The following sequence of photos shows us preparing to cut the oak tree into suitable sections. These sections will later become a large mantelpiece in a stately home, along with some purpose made oak furniture. |

The Oak will be taken to the barn and will be stored and seasoned for a period of at least 6 months. After this period it will be machined and ready for use. |
